The Woman Behind the Women
Hi. I’m Tara Boone and I draw women who think too much, say too little, and occasionally check the cupboard for f*cks and find it completely empty.
I’ve been a fashion designer in New York City, designed products & packaging for a billion-dollar business, sold collections to Bloomingdale’s and other high-end stores, appeared in Vogue, backpacked around the world solo for a year and a half, climbed to Everest Base Camp, owned a boutique in Hawaii, and was VP of Sales and Marketing for a multimillion-dollar company.
Boonie’s Besties started because I kept drawing women who looked exactly like someone I knew. Women with great style and very specific thoughts and absolutely no filter for those thoughts.
Women who are funny and fabulous and navigating the same beautiful disaster the rest of us are navigating every single day.
Every season I introduce a brand new cast of illustrated women, each one with her own story, her own look, and one thought she absolutely cannot keep to herself.
