Hi. I’m Tara Boone. The woman behind the women.
I draw these girls because they’re all parts of me, parts of my friends, and parts of every woman I’ve ever met who had a thought she probably should have kept to herself.
I draw what I know. And I know a lot of women.
I’ve been a fashion designer in New York City. Designed products and packaging for a billion-dollar business. Sold collections to Bloomingdale’s and other high-end stores. Appeared in Vogue and other publications.

Then I went and did some other things.
Backpacked solo for a year and a half across Fiji, Cambodia, Peru, New Zealand, Morocco, Tanzania, Turkey, Spain, Egypt and Dubai and so many more – chasing summer…
Climbed to Everest Base Camp. Hiked Grey Glaciers in Patagonia. Jumped off things. Slept under stars in the Serengeti. Taught at an orphanage.

Two things are very important to me: laughter and empowering women.
Women are extraordinary when they’re just allowed to be exactly who they are… unfiltered, hilarious, fabulous, and completely themselves.
Boonie’s Besties is my love letter to all of us… the fabulous, the funny, the slightly unhinged and the completely magnificent.
The world needs more laughter. And we need to see ourselves in each other. These girls make that happen.
