Her Story

Eva works in high fashion in New York City since graduating from design school with Emma and Tara. Married to a man in finance who adores her and stays out of her wardrobe budget. No children by choice and a very good apartment by taste. She sends the fewest messages in the group chat but always says the most important things.

Here is what Eva would never say directly: she does not process emotions in real time. She curates them afterward. When life gets messy, she does not spiral; she rebrands. New nails. New seasonal palette. Slightly more emotional detachment. Her apartment looks like a mood board for a woman who is thriving, which is accurate if you do not ask follow-up questions.

She occasionally says shite instead of the other word when she wants to sound European about it. She has never explained this. We have never asked. Her sense of style is out of this world. But she never rubs it in anyone’s face. We’ve known her too long.  She met the core 5 group… Max, Josie, Lindsy, and Dottie, in college so they saw her fall off a barstool or two.  She met Tara and Gigi in Design school, and they can remember when she wore plaid with ruffles, so Eva remains humble and down to earth with her besties.

The group chats are always a sense of relief and enjoyment after the BS she has to endure in her job.

A Random Fact

She once wore sunglasses to a meeting because she forgot she had them on. Nobody said anything. She got a promotion that quarter.

Her Connections

Emma — Coworker and dear friend. Friday lunch. Six years. Never missed.
Tara — Met in design school. Honest with each other for twenty years.
Gigi — Met in design school. Went into retail. Very happy. Eva respects this enormously.

Can You Relate to Eva?

If you have ever redecorated instead of dealing with something, or bought something beautiful instead of having a feeling, Eva is not judging you. She is nodding slowly.
